Agility

Agility is a great way to train with your dogs energy and enthusiasm, build your relationship, and have a great time. Paws & People offers a thorough program from Foundation level all the way through Advanced Sequence & Course work. We focus on; management skills, handler movement, obstacle performance, the 3 D's of agility (distance, directional, discrimination), crosses,
passive & active attention, crating, and enjoyment to both the dog and handler! We offer a full set of competition equipment; rubberized contacts, metal jumps, channel and competition weave poles, hoops and tunnels.

FUN RUNS!- Miller Pavilion in Bozeman. Come to practice your agility skills and have fun with your dog. Fun Run's are a great way to enhance your skills or try something new! This is open to novice - elite handler's. All courses will be Open level NADAC style.
Please remember -
-bring toy and treats
-crate (no tie ups)
-water bowl, clean up bags, chair
- all dogs must be on leash unless they are on the course (outside included)
- please dress for weather, barn is lightly heated but not balmy!
- food and drink for yourself
- no aversive training and/or equipment will be permitted- this opportunity to train is to help build a good relationship and good agility training

Our Fun Run's are to practice working in a more distracting environment, learn new skills, and/or improve on what you are doing already. GREAT for young dogs that are not competing yet, puppies that are getting use to the crating area in a new environment, or those new to agility and want to learn more!

Enhancement Class - Contacts!Whether you are starting contacts for the first time, building a running contact or proofing your two on two off, this 4 week enhancement class will help you shape a great reliable contact performance.

Enhancement Class - Crosses & Weaves  - This is an awesome class for fine tuning your handling skills. Working on the handlers body language while practicing a variety of crosses to become more efficient on the course. Weave enhancement is to perfect and proof weave pole performance. 40 minutes of each class will be devoted to crosses and handling, and 20 minutes to weave pole games, building speed and drive, and proofing performance.  A must as you advance in agility. Enhancement Class - Puppy Agility - If your puppy is 4 - 7 months and you would like to learn the basic puppy agility skills to build, focus, motivation, and attention, this would be a great class! This 4 week class is great for those looking for new ideas and skills to use with their puppy, and to prepare the future agility competitor. Enhancement Class - Crate Motivation -
This is a great class to build motivation and fun games for the crate. We will be training for verbal cues, hand cues, games, distance, duration and out of crate distractions. Great for those puppy's going into competition, or that don't feel to good about their crate, or for puppies that are showing some signs of separation anxiety when in their crate. Your puppy's crate should be a place of comfort and safety, and a place they can go to that feels GOOD! This enhancement class is geared for all dogs and their owners, not just agility competitors.
