Ready, Set, HIKE! (RSH)
Our first RSH trip went out in January 2008 and we were all hooked! This program has been a great addition to the services that we offer for people and their dogs, and now we offer guided hiking trips for you and your dog in spectacular SW Montana & beyond! We have experienced guide/instructors that will teach you skills so you can be successful on public and back country trails. Polite trail manners, go behind, setting a pace, interactive hiking with your dog, safety, wilderness first aid for your dog, off trail stay on multi use trails and much more... All of us at Paws & People are avid hikers and love taking groups out to our favorite locations. If you would like to join us please e-mail Nancy for more information

***as of 1/2009 all of our instructors will be certified in Wilderness First Aid through the Wilderness Medical Institute of NOLS.

Both person and dog need to be in good physical condition as we will be hiking in the mountains over varied terrain with elevation gains of up to 1,000 feet.

Our RSH groups are not recommended for dogs with aggression or anxiety, if you have questions please e-mail Nancy.

Private Guided Hiking -
If you would like a guided hike for you and your dog or for a small group, call us for more info. 406.522.1558. Our instructor/guides are equally as passionate about hiking as they are training! Come share some time in the back country with us. We will take your ability and desire and your dogs experience into consideration and design a great hiking experience for you!

We offer-
-1/4 day - $65 single/$35 pp group of 4 or more
-1/2 day - $85 single/$45 pp group of 4 or more
-full day - $145 single/$65 pp group of 4 or more
-&/or costumize a trip just for your group!

*** snacks are included in the 1/2 day
***snacks, lunch & appetizers included in the full day

We are also getting ready to offer multiple day 'yurt' or hut to hut trips so you and your dog can enjoy rustic lodging at the end of each full day of hiking.

Great for get-togethers with multiple dogs, groups of friends who would like to train and hike with their dogs, individuals who are just getting to know the area, business groups, young dogs just heading out on the trail for the first time...and the list goes on!
